Integrative psychotherapy - changing lives for the better

One size does not fit all

I draw on many different psychological theories, techniques and approaches, giving me the flexibility to tailor the way I work in order to meet my clients' needs at the time. I identify pieces of theory that will help, and integrate them into our work.

There are many different branches of psychotherapy, yet studies have shown that no one approach is more successful than any other. Fundamental to them all, however, is the development of a particular kind of therapeutic relationship. Some people think that the quality of relationship is the main factor in change and healing for clients. In my experience, it is a combination of empathy and understanding that enables my clients to feel safe with me, to trust me and to build a relationship with me that is therapeutic for them. I cannot do it all for you, though. If you work hard to improve things for yourself, it is more likely that you will benefit.

only help them discover it within themselves."
